In 1988 he acquired accreditation in various assessment tools: Meyers Briggs Type Indicator®, Kolbe Conative Index® and the NBI® (Kobus Neethling Brain Maps). He consulted in the field of HR by conducting "TEAM SUCCESSS" workshops, where he applied the above mentioned tools. Although he had a unique way in which he conducted coaching, by providing a concept that is timeless, he found that the industry needs guidance to understand the concept of "Mentoring" when being compared "Coaching", and the fundamental differences between the two actions. During this period of real-world interaction, in an attempt to create a structure that could be used benchmark his process and technicques, he slowly realized that the secret lay in using the missing link of “VOLITION” that forms a critical factor in successful Coaching.

He entered Into a joint Venture with Dr Erik D. Schmikl, a like-minded pioneer like himself, and together they discovered a new frontier. But, as with any new skill-set, new tools and processes where needed to help trainers and participant to reach their goals.  The  Coaching Scorecard ™ measurement tool was specifically developed to fill a much-needed market gap in measuring and assessing skill development and productivity of individuals by providing a Bottom-up Top-Down two-way communication process.
